Kapat Opening Dates of Chardham Yatra 2026
Badrinath Dham
The date for the opening of the gates of Badrinath Dham for the Char Dham Yatra 2026 will be decided on Basant Panchami (February 14) after the Vedic गणना (calculation) of the Panchang at the Narendra Nagar Rajmahal. Rajpurohit Acharya Krishna Prasad Uniyal will determine the date for the opening of the gates of Badrinath Dham, and the Maharaja will announce the date.
Kedarnath Dham
The opening date of Kedarnath Dham will be announced on the occasion of Mahashivratri on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Panch Kedar Gaddisthal Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, Rudraprayag, after the Panchang गणना (calculation) is performed. The program for the departure of Kedarnath Bhagwan’s Panchmukhi Bhogamurti to Kedarnath Dham will also be decided on the same day.
Gangotri & Yamunotri Dham
Traditionally, the gates of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham open on Akshaya Tritiya. However, the exact date and time of the opening of the gates is announced by the Temple Committee in April.
