Gangotri

Gangotri is a holy town situated in Uttarkashi district in Garhwal region of Uttrakhand, India located at an altitude of 3415m. It is among the Chota Char dham of Uttarakhand, Gangotri Temple is dedicated to the most pious river of India. It is well connected by road, it also serve as the Base camp for Gaumukh trek, the kapat of this shrine opens on the ocassion of Akshay tritya.
