Kedarnath

Kedarnath is a spritual small town situated in Rudraprayag district in Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India, at an altitude of 3,583 meters. Kedarnath is popular due to the Kedarnath Temple which is among the 12 Jyotirlinghs of India dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is also among the Chota Char Dhams ofUttarakhand. The Temple is situated in the Kedarnath Wildlife Santuary, There is no conectivity of roads to reach Kedarnath you have to trek or opt for Horse ride, doli, kandi from Gaurikund(16km distance). Kedarnath offers some nearby attractions like Bhairav Temple, Sankaracharya Samadhi, Vasu ki Taal and Chorabari glacier.
