2 Dham Yatra Package from Haridwar

2 Dham Yatra Package from Haridwar: A Journey with Travelophila

Hello, I am Sudip Bajpayee from West Bengal. Like many spiritual travel lover, my wife Nilima and I had always wanted to visit Uttarakhand to visit Kedarnath and Badrinath temples. We planned our trip to start from Haridwar on October 10, 2024, hoping for easy darshan and less crowd in the off-season.

While researching, Nilima came across the term “2 Dham Yatra package from Haridwar”. A family friend who had earlier booked the Char Dham Yatra package from Haridwar with Travelophila suggested we contact Mr. Maithani, the owner of Travelophila. After a call with Mr. Maithani, he himself and his team explained the detailed itinerary and gave us a reasonable quote of ₹32,000 for two people. We booked the package by paying a ₹5,000 token amount.

Day 1: Haridwar to Sersi via Dhari Devi and Guptkashi

On October 10, our driver Mr. Suraj, a local from the Badrinath region, picked us up from Haridwar in a new Swift Dzire. The journey started from 7 AM. Our first stop was the Maa Dhari Devi Temple, beautifully surrounded by water. After darshan, we enjoyed some tea and continued toward Guptkashi.

In Guptkashi, we visited the Vishwanath Temple. The temple’s architecture and peaceful vibe made the visit very special. After darshan and lunch, we drove to Sersi, where we stayed at Travelophila’s hotel, Adiyogi.

Mr. Maithani himself welcomed us at the hotel. After freshening up, we were given tea with pakoras. Dinner was a wholesome meal of roti, rice, local rajma dal, and shahi paneer. We were tired so we sleep early to prepare for the next day Kedarnath trek.

Day 2: Kedarnath Trek and Darshan

Early in the morning, we drove to Sonprayag and took a local jeep to Gaurikund. At Gaurikund, we visited Maa Gauri Temple before starting our 16 km trek to Kedarnath.

The trek was challenging but beautiful. By afternoon, we reached Bheembali for lunch. By evening, we arrived at Kedarnath and checked into our hotel. After freshening up, we attended the temple’s evening aarti.

Day 3: Kedarnath to Sersi

The next morning, we woke up at 4 AM to attend the temple’s darshan. After a two-hour wait, we entered the sanctum(Garv grah) and bowed our head to Lord Shiva’s jyotirlinga. It was an indescribable spiritual experience.

After visiting Bhairav Temple and Shankaracharya Samadhi, we began our return trek to Sonprayag. On the way back, we visited the Triyuginarayan Temple, where Lord Shiva and Parvati Devi were married. The temple’s location and history made it a memorable stop.

Day 4: Sersi to Joshimath via Chopta

The next day, we started early and visited the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath. From there, we drove through the mesmerising Chopta Valley, where we stopped for tea and captured some stunning photos.

By afternoon, we reached Joshimath and visited the Narsingh Devta Temple. After lunch, we drove to Mana, India’s last village. We visited Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and the Saraswati River, ending with a cup of tea at India’s first shop.

In the evening, we reached Badrinath and checked into Hotel Bhagirathi Palace. After freshening up, we visited the Badrinath Temple for darshan.

Day 5: Badrinath to Haridwar via Prayags

The next morning, we visited the temple for another round of darshan and blessings from Lord Vishnu. On our way back to Haridwar, we stopped at Vishnuprayag, Karnaprayag, and Nandprayag, the confluences of Uttarakhand’s holiest rivers.

My Experience with Travelophila

This journey was one of the most memorable trips of my life. I have traveled across Maharashtra, Kerala, and Gujarat, but this experience was unmatched. The credit goes to Mr. Maithani and his team for their excellent arrangements. From clean hotels to delicious meals and a friendly, knowledgeable driver, everything was perfect.

If you are planning a 2 Dham Yatra package from Haridwar or a Char Dham Yatra package, I highly recommend Travelophila. Their local expertise and exceptional service make them the best choice for any spiritual journey in Uttarakhand.
