Chardham Yatra is a spiritual yatra or a tour of four holy temples which are Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath situated in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand in Garhwal Himalayan Region.
The temple doors (Kapat) of Chardham remain closed during the winter months due to the extreme climatic conditions and reopen in summer (April–May), allowing Yatri’s to visit Chardham Temples. The closing dates are usually between October and November.

If you are planning to visit the Chardham temples, it is recommended to start your tour in the starting months (May – June) for best weather conditions and to avoid heavy crowds it is suggest to visit the temple in September to October.
